Vizualization of the youth competence dimensions in the self evaluation "Your map of competences"

The determination, measurement, assessment and improvement of youth competences is a significant task and a topical necessity in the process of modern education because more often the young people after getting the general secondary education join the labour market instead of continuing their studies. The authors offer the competence self-evaluation form "Your map of competences" where the qualitative method is used for summarizing the youths' opinions, attitudes, features of personality which as a whole forms the description of the personality - the biography map of competences. The method includes classification and the self-evaluation form of one's competences in the visualized form. The self-evaluation "Your map of competences" within the study has been performed by 255 secondary school students (grade 12) from Riga general comprehensive education institutions. The obtained data are interpreted in SPSS program. "Your map of competences" is applicable in practical work at schools performing the self-evaluation
